Känguru Institute For The Disabled

Känguru Institute for the Disabled is an independent non-profit, organization based in Kliprivier, South of Alberton. We are a residential home for severe - profound disabled children, twenty-four hours a day, and three hundred and sixty five days a year.

We have a vacancy for a Fundraiser who will be responsible for:

1. Implementation and execution of the fundraising strategy
The Fundraiser will be responsible for establishing, managing, and growing a comprehensive and sustainable fundraising program to maximize net income generation and increase the base of local, national and international donors.

2. The planning and execution of fundraising events
The Fundraiser will manage all aspects of events from conceptualisation, planning, budgeting and implementation.


Applicants must have in-depth knowledge of non-profit and fundraising industries, strategies and legalities. You will need to have strong relationship building and communication skills and a proved track record in Fundraising with strong ties in the community. Experience in sales would be an advantage.
You will work as part of the Marketing and Fundraising team. Applicants must be fluent in English and have a valid driver’s license.
