Requirements:

� Matric
� Registered with SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
� Minimum 5 years� experience as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary
� Previous experience in a Private Hospital in a Surgical Ward

Key Outputs:

� Strong quality patient care orientation
� BLS competent
� Ability to monitor vital signs, identify the abnormalities and report to the EN and/or RN
� Competently administering oral medication
� Competent in physical assessment
� Provide health education to parents and patients
� High energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure
� Focus on quality patient care and accompany stable patients to procedures and interventions
� Assist with setting and preparing for procedures and interventions
� Assist with patient care, pressure care, catheter care and feeding
� Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
� Adaptable and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
� Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
� Ability to render basic nursing care under supervision
� Shift work compulsory
� Ad hoc duties
